(raloxifene hydrochloride) is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) primarily used for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, as well as to reduce the risk of breast cancer in high-risk women.

Raloxifene produces selective effects in different tissues by binding to estrogen receptors:

In bones, it plays a similar role to estrogen, helping to increase bone density and reduce fracture risk.

In the breast and uterus, it plays an anti-estrogen role, reducing breast cancer risk and not stimulating endometrial hyperplasia.

Main uses:
